Starburst
For
swimmers 2½ years old and older
and must have some initial comfort in the water. This level
emphasizes providing an introduction to becoming confident in the water
and familiar with water safety.
Little Dipper
For
swimmers 3 years and older
and must be comfortable in the water. The swimmer will begin to
swim independently from the aid of an instructor. They will become
familiar with freestyle and backstroke
Big Dipper
For
swimmers 3 years and older
and must be able to swim a minimum of 10 yards of both freestyle
and backstroke. This level introduces the basics of the four competitive
strokes and the elementary backstroke at small distances.
Shooting Star
For
swimmers 4 years and older
and must be able demonstrate 25yards of both unassisted freestyle
and backstroke without stopping. This level prepares the swimmer for any
competitive program. They will be able to perform all four strokes up to
50 yards, tread water, dive, and perform basic turns.
